Name ISP

NameISP is a domain registrar that offers top level domains for .se, .com, .net, and other international extensions. This review will cover all aspects of their service, discuss the features, and see how reliable the company is.

Usability
NameISP provides the basic functionalities you need to manage your domains. It’s fairly average but the interface is intuitive and it’s easy to use. You won’t find many of the advanced features you’d find in some of the biggest domain registrars, but all the features you’ll need are here. There are systems to help you manage a large number of domains but it’s not for the casual user.

Domain Privacy
The cost of NameISP’s domain privacy (they call it Shield Whois) is fairly average at 50 SEK. However, there are many domain registrars that provide a cheaper rate for privacy.

Bulk Registrations and Management
The company has a domain management system called Domanagement. It is a portfolio system that makes it easy to register, renew, and manage your domain names. The only downside is that you need to have more than 20 domain names with NameISP. So unless you plan on investing that much with NameISP, don’t expect a management system.

Access Levels and Delegating
NameISP has a basic access management system. You can set it up so that you give somebody limited authority when logged in your account.

Pricing and Coupons
NameISP is more on the expensive side compared to other registrars. However, they do try to make as many international TLDs available for their clients. There are no coupons, so the prices are set in stone. You can take comfort knowing that you’re not missing out on discounts by not browsing the coupon sites.

Although NameISP’s service is pricier, there are still deals to be had. The costs differ from extension to extension. You’ll find that the extensions for certain countries are cheaper with NameISP’s service compared to other registrars. The fact that you so many different extensions are available will be an attractive feature for bigger companies.

Management Summary
Overall, NameISP is a solid service for obtaining international TLDs. The list of countries they offer extensions for currently exceeds 100. Their services are geared towards companies that want an international online presence.

The fact that their domain management system is only for customers that have more than 20 domains is the telltale sign that their service is not for customers that are looking to make minimal domain purchases. I think the company is around average but reliable.
