iDotz.net

iDotz is a domain registrar with the essentials. The interface is not quite up to par but the prices are comparable and all the necessities of a good registrar are there.

Bulk domain registration at iDotz is a bit confusing. They do not have a tool to register bulk domain names but you are able to "check" the extensions that you would like to purchase. In other words, purchasing multiple domains with varying keywords is not an easy task at iDotz but it is possible.

Bulk domain management is available but the interface is just so-so. There is nothing wrong or entirely missing but it leaves something to be desired in terms of ease of use. It is a bit counterintuitive but once you get used to it, everything is there. It is a very basic interface which many people might actually prefer to those that are more complex.

Private domain registration is available at iDotz for $9.95 per year which is just slightly more expensive than comparable sites. They will not automatically add on private registration unless this option is selected while checking out. SSL certificates are offered through this site as well and they cost between $69.99 and $149.99 with the option of adding on logos for card verification to take payments.

Access levels and delegating are available within the domain management tool. It is fairly basic but it takes a bit of time to uncover exactly how to delegate. Full access to DNS is available within their management interface. Web hosting, however, is not offered at iDotz and the navigation link takes you to an outside site.

The pricing at iDotz is quite reasonable. Most of their domains cost between $7.99 and $49.99 per year depending upon the extension or extensions desired. However, there is almost always a sale going on with a different extension. Users can sign up for a newsletter to be alerted when sales are taking place.

One unique feature that iDotz offers is the multilingual tool. This may only be relevant for those looking to purchase domain names in more than one language or create a presence for their organization internationally. It is one of very few domain registrars that has an actual tool for this task.

Overall, this is an okay option for a domain registrar. The one thing that sets it apart is the multilingual tool. Otherwise, iDotz is nothing spectacular.
