Gandi

The slogan at Gandi.net is "no bullshit" and they certainly live up to that slogan. There is nothing confusing or misleading about this domain registrar. It is easy to use and provides the best in basic features for domain registration, hosting, and SSL. This is one of the best all-around sites for those looking to register new domains quickly and get a site up and running with absolute minimal hassle. The ease of use is obviously something they pride themselves on at Gandi.net.

Private domain registration is included with the purchase of any domain from Gandi.net. Most sites charge a fee for private registration so this is one thing that Gandi does well. Of course, a user can opt to keep their domain registration public but for privacy reasons most would not choose this option.

Bulk registration is available at Gandi.net for up to 50 domain names at a time. With 121 extensions, they offer some of the best domain names for those looking to protect their brand or business. They also have a fully customizable bulk update feature that allows the user to select the tools they want visible and hide those that they rarely use. This is great for someone who tends to perform simple bulk updates on a regular basis.

Access levels and delegating is easy with Gandi.net as well. Their interface allows the user to quickly change administrative or technical contacts. There is also a separate section for billing contacts which is something other domain registrar sites occasionally overlook.

Much like everything else at this site prices are upfront and have nothing confusing about them. When you search for a domain name it gives you the price with all available extensions as well as those that have already been taken. They occasionally offer sale prices on certain extensions as well. For example, a four day sale of .mx recently ended.

The best part about Gandi.net is the all-inclusive package you get when you purchase a domain. All domains come with management, hosting, a blog, private registration, DNS control, 5 e-mail addresses, and one year of a free SSL certificate. In other words, purchasing a domain from Gandi.net means you are up and running right away. More advanced hosting is only $5 or $16 per month depending upon package choice.

After a careful review and personal experience with their services there is honestly nothing I could find that I did not like about this site. It is difficult to imagine registering a domain anywhere else after using Gandi. They are not kidding about the "no bullshit" slogan. They offer all the necessities and them some at a very low price.
