NordNet

NordNet, a subsidiary of France Telecom, is a domain name management service that also specializes in antivirus services, website development, and high-speed broadband accessibility. NordNet provides a large array of Internet solutions for individuals and businesses, large and small. Solutions offered include antivirus services, domain name reservation and registration, and SEO offerings, among others. Sign-up and gain access to various products and tools that are easy to use, with user-friendly headings and product descriptions.

As a NordNet registrant you will have access to several products and features that will allow you to create a working, accessible website including: high speed internet, secure and safe browsing without the infuriating presence of spam, and the ability to store a large amount of information (400 MB accommodation). Registrants also have the opportunity to grow and succeed with NordNet’s Pack Windows and Linux hosting services.

Numerous packages are available that cover a plethora of business and individual needs. Prices range from 29 Euros a month (or roughly $38.00) to 39 Euros/mo. (or roughly $50.00) for a high-speed broadband and satellite connection, approximately 30 Euros/mo. for basic Antivirus Firewall protection, and around 20 Euros/mo. for an all-inclusive domain name registry (spam filter, email tools, Pack site, Antivirus filter and Linux 400 MB hosting).

Included in the domain management system are several protective features such as: free on-line diagnostics, virus scanning, back-up features, and web filtering with parental control tools (for a nominal fee). This feature allows businesses and individuals to remain professional and reputable, maintaining a user-friendly, accessible site that is appropriate for all ages.

What makes NordNet a trusted, desirable registrar and service provider is their philosophy and approach to creating an equitable, secure (and safe) internet experience for the masses. Their prices are reasonable for the multitude of products, features, and tools offered through their site. My only criticism is the site lacks diversity—the English page provides only basic information so a translation tool is necessary—the site is in French.

That said, I recommend this registrar and service provider for a one-stop experience where all of the necessary products needed to jump start or maintain an internet business can be found. Particularly of great importance is the impressive selection of free security services in addition to the low cost packages. Furthermore, the services are endless and the customer service support team is available to assist you throughout the process—an important element when developing your individual or business website.
