Usability
MetaFusion's clean and modern layout looks professional even though the website is still in beta. Search options are presented clearly on the left side of the home page, while recent articles and sales appear on the right. This registrar does something interesting. I was able to view suggested domains based on category. If you're not quite sure what you're looking for, this can be useful. 

You cannot actually pick any domain that you want to purchase. Instead, you can choose from the 2,000+ "premium" domains that MetaFusion owns and has deemed brandable. Search options include the domain name, type of extension and category. You can leave many of these options blank for more results.

Bulk Registration and Bulk Management
MetaFusion recognizes a need for bulk registration, but the website doesn't make it easy to add multiple domains to your cart. Similarly, no information is available in regards to access levels or delegating user roles within your control panel.

Pricing and Coupons
Pricing works much differently with this company than with others. There are options to both buy and lease domain names, and leasing starts at $400 per year with many domains leasing at $500 annually. Purchasing prices come to $2,000, so small business owners might not find that MetaFusion meets their needs. The pricing structure might also confuse buyers who are accustomed to typical domain names costing no more than $30 per year. MetaFusion also charges a $20 domain renewal fee if you choose to purchase the domain name.

Management Summary
Users must create an account and log in before they are able to purchase or lease a domain. As of February 2013, MetaFusion does not appear to offer and privacy options to customers in the checkout process.

What's to like and dislike
MetaFusion offers comprehensive branding tools, so this company is a bit of a registrar and a PR agency. Some consumers will see this as a boon. The company offers sales, customer service and marketing platforms to consumers in addition to domain names. However, the hybridization of services may simply be too complex for some people.

Consumers who know exactly what they want might want a more straightforward registrar. However, MetaFusion's focus on branding and premium domain names is useful for anyone who's not quite sure what they need. The proprietary system and limited domain names benefit a select few companies with money to spend.
