Usability
Not every registrar has a fantastic design, but Domain Register feels a little outdated. Nevertheless, searching for a new domain is highlighted on the main page, and Domain Register even lets you sign up via snail mail.

Domain Privacy
Private registration costs $12 per domain, which is on par with many other registrars. This shields your personal data from becoming available when people perform WHOIS searches on your domain.

Bulk Registration and Management
Once you search for a domain, you'll can add multiple domains to your cart. Domain Register allows you to enter other domain names and choose from groups of extensions, such as ".am" and ".fm". However, you can't choose other domains from within the same TLD group, so you'll have to perform the search all over if you want more than one ".com". You'll need to head back to the start to add more domains if you've already added one to your cart, too.

Pricing and Coupons
Domain Register has prices far above the competition even if you register your domains for more than one year at a time. A ".com" starts at $18.95 annually. However, you can enter coupon numbers or a gift certificate code during checkout.

Management Summary
There's no way to access your control panel from the front page. It's difficult to ascertain when the website was last updated, but it does look a little Web 1.0. In fact, Domain Register is kind of old fashioned. The website prompts you to log in or create an account before you can even see your cart, which makes purchasing multiple items frustrating. While you can bypass this step, the layout means most customers won't realize they don't have to register to continue with the checkout process.
