Expiry

Usability
Expiry has a sleek website that easily lets you purchase a domain, add hosting, improve your SEO or get help. A login button on the main page adds convenience, while links to the support section, your cart and a contact page are all easy to find. If you simply want to find your domain and get on with it, the form is visible on the index.

Domain Privacy
For $10 per domain per year, Expiry gives you what it calls "ID protection." This service obscures your personal information when someone performs a WHOIS search for your domain.

Bulk Registrations and Management
If you want to register -- or transfer -- fifty domains at a time, look no further than Expiry. A large textbox that appears after you perform an initial search makes the progress easy, which is why you might lean toward this company if you're a reseller or SEO pro who managers customer accounts. Unfortunately, bulk management for domains you already own is limited.

Pricing and Coupons
Expiry uses an easy price schema. Most TLDs cost $15. Some costs as much as $100 per year, but the numbers are nice and even. For example, extensions might cost $20, $30 or $50, so you don't need to deal with anything less than a dollar.

Management Summary
This company uses Direct Admin for its control panel. Its function and layout is similar to cPanel, and you'll be able to accomplish all your tasks from your dashboard. A reseller control panel is available. One of the nice features of Expiry is the ability to add your nameservers -- if you're hosting your site elsewhere -- as you checkout. This speeds up the propagation process.

I'm Sold
A network status page also lets you know if there are any issues with Expiry's network, so you don't have to watch your inbox like a hawk or log in to your control panel to check downtime.

What I Don't Like
You have to press a button to add a single domain to your cart then search for and add that domain again once you get to the 5-step checkout process. It's annoying but not a deal-breaker when you consider the fantastic support. Expiry has almost 1,000 Flash tutorials that walk you through everything from FTP clients to XHTML, which makes it the ideal option if you're less familiar with maintaining your own website.
