So we now all know Google Apps is not a free product anymore. Lots of people are quite disappointed from this move by Google, but some of you would have said you saw this coming. Google Apps will now become a paid service where an annualy minimum fee of $50 will now be applied. The good news is that for people who already have an old account of Google Apps, then worry no more, as you are excluded.
I know some would rather pay for this service as then it allows customer support and hopefully a paid member would get quicker help than a free member.
Here the trick on how to still get it for FREE. The first thing you need to get this is a Gmail or Google Account. Go get one, if you haven't - www.accounts.google.com
After signing up, place this URL in your web browser - www.appengine.google.com
1. Sign-in using your Google account and you will be able to create a new application. Google will ask you to fill in some date, fill it then click on 'Create Application'.
2. Click on the 'Dashboard' button and then on 'Application Settings'.
3. Scroll down until to 'Add Domain' to link your domain to the app engine application
Then you are done. You should now see a link for a free-sign up to Google Apps edition.
For those who have tried this, let me know if it still works for you.
